Keeping Uckfield businesses connected

Uckfield Chamber of Commerce members' meeting

Our next evening members’ meeting is on Thursday 23 May at the recently refurbished, high-end local hotel, Horsted Place. And we will be pleased to welcome guest speakers from East Sussex Fire & Rescue Service. All the usual opportunities to network and enjoy the fine food that this hotel offers in their Garden Room, on a late Spring evening. Members can book their places now.

On Friday 12 April we host our next networking breakfast when we visit one of our newer member premises, Ridgewood Village Hall in the south of Uckfield. Our speaker is Claire Witz from Sussex Chamber, discussing an update on the Local Skills Improvement Programme (LSIP). Booking is open now for any Uckfield business, not just members and everyone will have an opportunity to update the room on what’s new in their business.

To complement meeting ‘in person’ we will continue to offer a monthly online meeting for an hour, between 9.00am and 10.00am. The next of our online morning meetings will be on Wednesday 1 May. Non-members are welcome too although you’ll need to get in touch for the Zoom sign-in details.

And don’t forget our business podcasts, produced, and delivered monthly on a Thursday lunchtime between 12.45-1.30pm. The next date for your diary is Thursday 25 April, when we will be joined by cinema owner, Kevin Markwick.

Full event details of all our upcoming meetings can be found on the ‘Read more’ button below and you can book here for the immediate meetings.

Please continue to ‘Shop Local’

Carvills, Uckfield High Street

There is no doubt that we are fortunate to have such a great high street here in Uckfield, with very few empty units compared to similar towns. Not only that but there is an array of retail units too on the main Bellbrook industrial estate.

Please do continue to support your local independent stores and restaurants, together with places like our cinema. We are proud of our local high street full of fabulous independent stores, so it makes every sense to ‘support local’.

We will continue to work closely with both Uckfield town council and Wealden district council on various initiatives to support our high street and wider business area ensuring that government led funding support is directed to where it is needed most.

Here at Uckfield Chamber, we are proud to boast a strong membership of 200 local businesses; please check out our business directory where you’re sure to find a local solution to any business need.

If you own or manage an Uckfield business and are not a member, well done for being here on our site! Please do get in touch and we’d be pleased to discuss the wide range of member benefits.

Welcome to Uckfield Chamber of Commerce

Uckfield Chamber of Commerce is an established independent Chamber providing a united stronger business voice for businesses within the town and surrounding villages. The Chamber provides regular opportunities for members to meet and network at various times of the day, acting as a forum to discuss issues that impact trade and commerce both locally and the wider area across the county.

We boast a diverse range of business members including third generation established companies to brand new start-ups. And our executive committee is similarly comprised of a range of professionals and independent business owners. It makes every sense to be part of your local Chamber of Commerce.

Simmons Gainsford have been a member of the Uckfield Chamber of Commerce since we arrived in Uckfield almost 15 years ago. It is a very well run Chamber which is backed up by the number of members that there are. Members meetings are informative and very well attended which is fantastic for the local Uckfield Business Community.
