Universal Dance is a Performing Arts company that specialises in Street and Contemporary dance classes. Established in 2011 by Artistic Directors, Lindsay Willis-Wood and Jessica Lloyd, ‘UD’ is now in its ninth year and home to over 300 students.
What we offer…
• Authentic dance classes, training and exams in; Ballet, Commercial, Contemporary, Musical Theatre and Street Dance.
• Classes suitable for ages 2yrs-101!
• Satellite classes in a number of local areas expanding from Uckfield to Lewes!
• All levels are welcome; we do not streamline our classes based on ability. Our philosophy is that everyone learns at their own pace but also have the opportunity to learn from their more experienced peers as well as the teacher. This encourages students to motivate each other, develop their own teaching skills and grow in confidence.
• A yearly show held at a professional theatre.
• Level 2 Coaches Programmes; from the age of 13yr students can begin their own dance teaching training with us.
• Arts Awards Qualifications (The Gold qualification awards UCAS points).
• A Youth Theatre made up of 35 students aged 5-17yrs who perform in an annual production.
• Professional relationships with prestigious performing artists around the country;

• Home to three competitive Street Dance Crews; Graffiti (Seniors, Under 18, South Coast Champions, UDO), Scribble (Juniors, Under 12 British 2019 Champions, BDO) and Sketch (Minis, Under 10, South Coast Champions, UDO).
