Members’ virtual networking meeting…
Tuesday 6 October 2020 / 8:30 am - 9:45 pmFree
With limitations on meeting together face-to-face given the COVID19 crisis, we are bringing member contact and networking to you online via the Zoom platform, over coffee (you’ll have to make your own) on Tuesday 6 October, although for this meeting at the earlier time of 8.30am, until 9.45am.
Our Zoom meetings have become an established fortnightly online networking event and this meeting is likely to last slightly longer than the usual hour with two keynote speakers! An advantage of such meetings is that is does allow people to ‘dip in and out’. That said, please aim to sign-in for an 8.30am start. Each attendee will be given one minute to share about their business before we introduce the following guest speakers: we’re pleased that Nus Ghani MP will join us from Westminster and the team from East Sussex Careers Hub will provide updates on how you can get involved virtually with both work experience and their ‘Open Doors’ programme – more information here.
It’s an opportunity to ask any business related questions to the current situation. Using Zoom, we have a ‘Chat’ facility so questions can be typed and we will endeavour to answer them or at least, point you in the right direction. Best practice also suggests that you should ‘mute’ your microphone when not speaking so as to avoid unnecessary background noise.
We will repeat at fortnightly intervals so the next date, that can be pencilled in is Tuesday 20 October, when we will hear from Uckfield’s Town Clerk, Holly Goring.
Free to attend and no need to book a place; just turn up online on time. Members will be emailed the link and password to join the meeting. Non-member guests are welcome to attend by emailing a request to join to firstname.lastname@example.org
