Members’ virtual networking meeting…
Wednesday 2 December 2020 / 8:30 am - 9:30 amFree
With limitations on meeting together face-to-face given the COVID19 crisis, we are bringing member contact and networking to you online via the Zoom platform, over coffee (you’ll have to make your own) on Wednesday 2 December at 8.30am. Please note our earlier start time and change to the day of the week!
Now an established fortnightly online networking event, the meeting will last an hour but obviously, an advantage of such meetings is that is does allow people to ‘dip in and out’. That said, please aim to sign-in for an 8.30am start. Each attendee will be given one minute to share about their business before we introduce our guest speaker, Ian Ridley, owner of the Highlands Inn pub amongst others. Ian will talk about the hospitality sector and how his family owned group of pubs has responded to government restrictions and lockdown during the current pandemic.
It’s an opportunity to ask any business-related questions to the current situation. Using Zoom, we have a ‘Chat’ facility so questions can be typed and we will endeavour to answer them or at least, point you in the right direction. Best practice also suggests that you should ‘mute’ your microphone when not speaking to avoid unnecessary background noise.
We will repeat at fortnightly intervals although will now have a break until the New Year so the next date, that can be pencilled in is Wednesday 13 January 2021, our first meeting of the New Year. We will however, enjoy something a bit different before then with a Christmas themed quiz at 7.00pm on Thursday 17 December!
Free to attend and no need to book a place; just turn up online on time. Members will be emailed the link and password to join the meeting. Non-member guests are welcome to attend by emailing a request to join to firstname.lastname@example.org
