Here at Uckfield Chamber we are proud to organise and host the Uckfield Business Awards biennially. First held in 2012, this is the seventh time the Awards have been held, every other year with the exception, of course, of 2020. Always held at the East Sussex National within their National Suite, which has recently been refurbished, the hotel offers one of the few venues locally that is large enough for 300 guests to sit down, cabaret style for a three course Gala Dinner, while celebrating the very best of business in and around Uckfield.
The Gala Dinner and Awards ceremony will be held on Thursday 1 October 2026. While anyone is welcome to attend, tickets will first go on sale to our finalists and sponsors. Each sponsor as part of their sponsorship package will receive four places at the event and often a sponsor will want to extend this to purchase extra to make up a table of 10. In theory, at least, we could have as many as 45 finalists in the room and we very much hope that all those short-listed for the final three in each category will be able to come along on the night. Tickets cost £55 per head and we will publish the three course menu here shortly. The ticket price also includes wine on the table and a welcome drink on arrival. Dress code, Black tie of course, although Lounge suits are acceptable. Following the formalities, we’ll have dancing until Midnight!
We are pleased to hold a cash prize raffle on the night and the beneficiary this year will be The Incredible Design Co. IDC provide a professional working environment for young, physically disabled people who had left formal education and experienced problems accessing open employment because of their disability.
We are grateful to our headline sponsor, CJ Thorne & Co. who have the unenviable task of selecting the top three businesses including the overall winner, from the winners of each of the individual categories, having been a recipient themselves previously. Thank you also to each of our category sponsors without whom we couldn’t hold such an event.
We have been delighted with the response to entries, being some 20% up initially on 2024 numbers. During July our sponsors will be working hard to determine their top three in each category, being our finalists on the night. Finally, a thank you to everyone who has entered. it wouldn’t be much of an event without both quality and quantity of entries. Good luck to all who’ve entered!
