There is no doubt that we are fortunate to have such a great high street here in Uckfield, with very few empty units compared to similar towns.
Not only that but there is an array of retail units too on the main Bellbrook industrial estate.
Please continue to support your local independent stores and restaurants, together with places like our cinema.
We are proud that our local high street is full of fabulous independent stores, so it makes sense to ‘Shop Local’.
We will continue to work closely with both Uckfield Town Council and both district and county councils on various initiatives to support our high street and wider business area, inviting leaders to speak at Chamber meetings.
The annual focus for our high street occurs on the first Friday of December for Uckfield’s ‘Late night shopping’ evening. With the lower high street closed to traffic, and a huge variety of food and drink stalls added to the attraction, it’s one of the most popular local events. The Chamber organises the event each year, including the stewarding, health & safety, entertainment and much more.
