
When people attend an Awards night, few appreciate that the process of selecting the finalists and ultimately, the winners on the night, started some 7-8 months previously. We are entering the ‘business end’ of the Awards season for 2026, as entries across our 15 categories closed on 12 June.
The good news is that entries for 2026 are 20% up on levels in 2024, and the increasing popularity of being recognised within your local business community is something that is very much valued.
We are most grateful to our marketing partner, GetCrisp, who have managed the Awards website and collate the online entries, condensing them into manageable, user-friendly packs for our generous sponsors. Our sponsors not only part with their cash to support the event financially but also their time, as during the month of July, they’ll assess the entries within their category and decide by the month end as to their final three.
Thank you if you have entered the Awards. Obviously, we can’t hold an Awards event without entries and knowing the calibre of Uckfield businesses, our sponsors have a tough task ahead to make their choices. Once we know our finalists, we’ll naturally publish them both here and, on the Awards website, as well as announcing on Ashdown Radio and across social media.
Naturally, finalists will be invited to attend the Gala Dinner Awards event, which will be at the East Sussex National, within their newly refurbished National Suite. That said, anyone can purchase a ticket for the evening costing £55 to include a three-course meal with wine on the table! The big day happens on Thursday 1 October, so mark the day in your calendars now. You can purchase tickets from early August by emailing info@uckfieldbusinessawards.com.
