You may have heard about the ‘Kickstart’ employment scheme?

It’s a recently initiated Government initiative with a purpose; to match organisations with reliable young people (16-24) for a 6-month paid placement funded entirely by the government.

At Catch22 they see this as a great opportunity for local organisations to grow their business whilst providing a crucial steppingstone to eager potential workers… and just as a reminder, it’s all paid for!

It is understood that in the current climate many local businesses have been hard hit and the thought of enrolling new staff could seem daunting. To remedy this, Catch22 has initiated the ‘Kickstart Community’ whereby, unlike other Kickstart portals, we will offer all the support required for both businesses and young people to thrive in their roles and ensure the process is as easy as possible for all involved.

The service is entirely free and by joining the Kickstart Community at Catch22, we will:

  • Take care of the administrative pain of bidding and engaging with government
  • Manage referrals and on-boarding so that you interview the right candidates for you
  • Provide wraparound support and skills training to young people while on placement
  • Offer volunteering opportunities to every young person so they gain leadership skills
  • Support progression for young people through guaranteed interviews and jobs fayres

Catch22 is a not for profit business with a social mission. We exist to engage, unite and empower young people, building confidence to go out and achieve their potential. We want to help thousands of business hire great staff and ensure placements are meaningful and sustainable.
