Who says festive cheer can’t start before 8am? In Uckfield, it came with coffee, a full English and some seriously impressive Christmas knitwear.
At our final event of the year, we welcomed businesses from Uckfield and the surrounding area to our Christmas Jumper Networking Breakfast at the Luxford Restaurant in the Civic Centre.
Despite it being one of the busiest times of the year for many businesses, the event was a sell out, with both members and non-members joining in the fun and turning up in their best festive attire.
While Christmas jumpers were technically optional, festive knitwear was well represented and ranged from subtle sparkle to full festive extravagance. The competition for the best one was taken very seriously, adding plenty of laughter and cheer to the room. Congratulations to Neil Young from Pureprint, who was named the winner by our President Chris Dowling.
A cracker of a breakfast
As always, it was lovely to see new faces alongside familiar ones, and it was no surprise that several non-members commented on how much they enjoyed the relaxed, friendly networking atmosphere that the Uckfield Chamber is known for.
Guests were greeted with hot drinks and juices on arrival before sitting down to enjoy a delicious full English breakfast, complete with Christmas crackers for everyone to pull. Thanks to the staff at Luxford Restaurant for their fantastic hospitality.
This was followed by the ever-popular 60-second round, giving everyone the chance to share what was new in their business as the year drew to a close.
There were poems and Christmas film-related pitches, plus an impromptu chair aerobics session from Henry at Revive Health Fitness.
The event was a fantastic way to round off the Uckfield Chamber of Commerce’s networking calendar for the year. A huge thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make it such a warm, welcoming and festive start to the day.
