Helping People Find a Way Forward

For us, providing advice isn’t just about paperwork or procedures — it’s about helping people gain clarity, confidence, and a sense of control. That might mean helping someone manage debt, access the benefits they’re entitled to, resolve a housing issue, or simply understand their options when life throws them a curveball. Whatever the situation, our focus is always on what matters most to the person seeking advice.

Every case we handle is built around the individual’s story — not just the facts. Most of our team are dedicated volunteers, giving their time and expertise to help people navigate often complex issues. Their commitment allows us to reach more people across the district and provide a service that is both personal and responsive to the needs of our community.

Our trained advisers take time to understand each client’s circumstances and goals, so that the advice and support we provide is practical, relevant, and empowering. Of course, life doesn’t always go to plan. That’s why we work alongside our clients, providing guidance and advocacy as circumstances change. From one-off advice sessions to ongoing support, we’re here to make sure people aren’t facing challenges alone.

We’re also committed to using what we learn from clients’ experiences to campaign for fairer policies and better local services. By combining practical advice with community insight, we aim to make a positive difference across Wealden.

Based in Uckfield, Hailsham and Crowborough, and reaching communities across the district, we’re excited to be joining the Uckfield Chamber of Commerce.
