Based in a converted farm building on beautiful Brownings Farm in the heart of the East Sussex countryside we open Monday to Friday, 9am to 4pm. We serve freshly cooked meals including cooked breakfasts, home-made hotpots and soups, paninis and freshly made sandwiches. We also make our own cakes, scones and flapjacks.
Wherever possible we try to support local producers from within a few miles of Blackboys. Our tea, coffee and hot chocolate is all ethically sourced. Our great tasting speciality organic coffee beans come from a roaster in Lewes, with beans sourced from a farm in Peru run by women who put the profits they make into their community.
The Grove is available for hire for special occasions such as birthdays, baby showers and anniversaries. We have also had experience of hosting wakes. Our beautiful courtyard is a perfect venue for a BBQ and live music. Fully licensed to serve alcohol, the venue can be exclusively hired after opening hours during the week and on Saturdays.
Right next door to The Grove is The Space, a converted cow shed (with Bull pen still intact!), seating up to 20. We can provide a fully catered peaceful and private setting for your meeting or retreat day.
The Grove also acts as a Community Hub. Regular activities include a Get Crafty session, a Book Group, a walking group and a Creative Writing group. If there is something you would like to see happening at the Hub please let us have your ideas.
