This includes residential and commercial developers, retailers, private landowners, local authorities, charities and smaller private clients. We work with clients from the planning appraisal stage (including advice on permitted development rights) through to the submission of applications and discharge of conditions thereafter. We also submit planning appeals (including appeals against enforcement notices) and lawful development certificates on behalf of clients. As planning consultants we often take on the ‘project manager’ role overseeing the range of consultancy input required for applications to ensure the most appropriate scheme is put forward. Of note in recent weeks the Planning Inspectorate has reported on Wealden’s Local Plan and has found it to be unsound in two respects (failure in respect of Duty to Cooperate and an unjustified approach to the Habitats Regulations Assessment).
