The amount of support information available for the business world because of COVID19 is changing daily and it can be a challenge to ensure that you are up-to-speed with the support available to you and your business.

Before you do anything else you’ll want to ensure that you are getting the right level of financial support – this quick and easy government tool points businesses in the right direction to the support available to their specific circumstances. Click HERE to get started.

We heard at the end of last week from Wealden District Council that they had paid out 2,200 grants to Wealden businesses although had questions from other applications which were taking a little longer to verify. We do know however, that there are still a good number of local businesses who are probably eligible but have yet to apply. It’s quick and easy to do so HERE.

Detail on eligibility and additional information on both the Grant scheme and answers to questions around the government’s Furlough scheme can be found within the latest Blog by our Chamber treasurer, Claire Allen of Team 4 Solutions, which you can read HERE.

Central government is often the best initial source of support and we came across this Coronavirus Business Support Blog to help business get the support they need, which we thought was well worth a read. The blog contains additional information and resources, including case studies from businesses who have or will be accessing government support and posts from different people across government and business.

Finally, these two support sources maybe of interest…

Facebook has launched a Small Business Grants Programme offering eligible small businesses USD $100M in cash grants and ad credits, across many nations including the UK.

The Prince’s Trust and NatWest Enterprise Relief Fund is offering one-to-one support and grants to 18 to 30 year olds who are self-employed or running their own business.

If you come across any support sites etc. that we haven’t covered, please do get in touch and we will be pleased to share the information.

Stay home and stay safe…
