I have worked as a chiropractor in the Sussex area for well over ten years, since moving from London. Chiropractic has been a passion of mine since I was treated myself as a teenager and was amazed by the results. I moved to Uckfield with my family 4 years ago after falling in love with the town and the people within the community.
My wife, a psychologist and yoga teacher, and I had been looking for premises for a while when the Uckfield Yoga Studio became available. Whilst knowing I wanted to add my chiropractic practice to the site, I also knew that the studio played a big part in the wellbeing of the Uckfield community. So, I set about renovations to the premises to encompass a yoga studio, Pilates equipment room, a massage therapy room and two Chiropractic treatment rooms for myself and my colleague Dr Maria Jeremy. In addition to these great services, we now have an X-Ray machine on site. The ability to be able to use X-Rays to facilitate diagnosis sets us apart from surrounding practices and has proved very popular.
The Phoenix Health Hub was opened at the beginning of September, by Mayor Jackie Love and we have seen an influx of people in pain needing our help. We feel proud to be able to offer locals not only initial Chiropractic help to reduce their pain but also Pilates and Yoga classes to help build strength and flexibility. We have a wonderful massage therapist working at the hub, perfect to help reduce muscular tension alongside our chiropractic work.
Dr Maria and I have recently enjoyed visiting local businesses to carry out complimentary back checks to staff, something we hope to do a lot more of in the future.
