Victoria Pavilion Arts is holding its first big event of the year in February providing an ideal opportunity to shop local and support our creative community
The Art Market is taking place on Sunday 16th February and will feature 14 fantastic local artists showcasing an amazing, eclectic and high-quality selection of artworks. One of Victoria Pavilion Arts main aims is to champion our independent creative industries, providing a viable platform for them to promote, showcase and sell their work and products.
Artists, just like any other small independent businesses, struggle to compete with the big named high street and online retailers selling mass-produced goods. However, when you purchase a piece of art directly from our artists you will be investing in a unique, authentic, locally produced product with a known provenance. All our artists are on hand to chat to and are always happy to talk about their work and processes making this a much more fulfilling shopping experience.
The February Art Market is also a chance for our artists to have an early spring clean, clear out their older inventories, make room for new creations and boost their income during a slower time of the year. This means that visitors can expect to find some fantastic bargains. There will be originals, limited edition prints, framed and unframed artworks, cards and gifts all at affordable prices. We also endorse the ‘Just a Card’ campaign which means that even if you can only afford to buy a greetings card, please do, because every small purchase makes a huge difference to our independents. So, come along, discover the wealth of creative talent we have right on our doorstep and purchase something made and sold with passion.
What’s more, all proceeds from entry donations and our pop-up café go towards delivering out Arts for Wellbeing activities which support good mental health for everyone in our community.
