My name is Jimmy Pringle, and I am a sole trader, my business is called ‘Jimmy the Painter’.
I am a painter and decorator who can also do venetian plastering. I have been trading for a year and a half as Jimmy the Painter around Uckfield and the surrounding area. Before this I spent many years in hospitality, working as a chef. Lockdown changed my career and lead me to my current calling. I spent a couple of years doing an apprenticeship with a building firm in Lewes, and here we are.
The work I do is mainly domestic, but I have done and can-do commercial work too. My favourite aspects of the work I do are wallpapering and the venetian plastering.
As I’m not from the area originally (and spent a good few years cooped up in a kitchen), I don’t know a lot of people locally and have joined the chamber to meet local business owners and to hopefully be able to help others where possible.
