Empower People HR is an independent HR consultancy supporting businesses across Sussex and beyond. Many of the organisations we support don’t have an internal HR team, or they have one person trying to juggle everything. We work with organisations of all sizes, from ambitious start-ups and growing SMEs to established employers who need practical and commercially focused HR support.
Empower People HR was founded by us, Hayley and Sarah, after seeing first-hand how businesses can be held back when the right people foundations aren’t in place. We created our HR consultancy to help SMEs build strong, flexible workplaces from the outset, creating the conditions for sustainable growth and long-term success.
Hayley grew up in Uckfield and now lives in Burgess Hill, while Sarah is based in Bognor Regis. Together, we support businesses across Sussex and bring more than 20 years of HR experience and a shared passion for helping organisations create supportive, confident and compliant workplaces.

We offer flexible service options so businesses can choose the support that suits them best. This includes one‑off ad hoc advice, HR projects, retained partnerships and a free HR Health Check for anyone unsure where to start.
