Running an established business is rewarding, but finding the time and the right expertise to grow it can be a challenge. That’s where Time to Grow comes in.
What is Time to Grow?
Time to Grow is a fully funded business support programme for established businesses across East Sussex. It is funded by the Sussex and Brighton Strategic Authority and East Sussex County Council, managed by East Sussex County Council and delivered by new Uckfield Chamber member, Digital Islands. Its aim is to help ambitious local businesses grow and become more resilient, by giving them access to expert advice they might not otherwise be able to get.
What do businesses get?
Eligible businesses receive up to 16 hours of free, 1-to-1 support from a specialist adviser matched to their goals. The team of 20+ specialists covers marketing, sales, AI, finance, HR, brand, web, SEO, CRM, leadership and more. There’s nothing to pay and no strings attached.
How does it work, and when do the 16 hours happen?
1. Book a free 20-minute discovery call to check your eligibility.
2. Complete a business diagnostic to pinpoint your priorities.
3. Work 1-to-1 with your specialist. For most businesses, support takes place through a series of online meetings arranged around your diary, sometimes starting with a face-to-face meeting. Where it works better, sessions can also be run as half-day workshops. Support is usually completed within two months, from start to finish.
Because you choose what to focus on, the time goes on the areas that will make the biggest difference, whether that’s winning new customers, getting clarity on cashflow or using AI to save time.
What results can businesses expect?
Businesses supported through previous Digital Islands programmes have reported improved financial clarity, greater confidence, stronger marketing performance and new contracts won.
Who is it for?
Established businesses based in East Sussex (not Brighton and Hove), turning over £100k or more, with an ambition to grow.
