Hello, I’m Stephen Knight, founder of Veritas Surveyors Ltd, an independent chartered surveying company based in Buxted.
As a Chartered Building Surveyor and Chartered Quantity Surveyor, I bring over 40 years’ experience in construction and property across the South East. I provide RICS Home Surveys at Levels 1, 2 and 3, helping local home buyers understand the condition of a property before committing to their purchase.
The name Veritas comes from the Latin word for truth. It reflects my approach: honest advice, clear communication and a friendly, professional service. Buying a home can be exciting, but it can also feel daunting. My aim is to explain any concerns in plain English, put findings into perspective and help clients make informed decisions.
I offer a personal service from the first enquiry onwards. I call clients on the day of their survey to explain the main findings, with the full report delivered within five working days. Once they have had time to read it, I’m available to talk through the detail, answer questions and provide support with survey-related queries through to completion.
I’m looking forward to being part of the Chamber of Commerce, getting to know fellow members and building relationships with other local businesses.
