There’s no doubting that our town’s retailers and High Street business owners have had a tough time of it during recent months, which is why your local Chamber of Commerce, Town Council and other local partners are fully supportive of a campaign to encourage the good people of Uckfield to shop locally, supporting our high street independent businesses.

As a key service centre for the town’s 15,000 residents, local businesses and surrounding villages, Uckfield has a wide array of businesses ready to support you with your needs – DIY, pet supplies, car servicing, fitness, retail – clothing and home interiors, beauty, legal and financial support along with great food and refreshments to keep up that stamina for your daily outings and shopping trips.

Since the re-opening of non-essential retail in June and more recent opening of the hair and beauty industry and hospitality sector, we are keen to spread the word that Uckfield is a place where you can shop safely, shop local to your home, all in the heart of Uckfield.

Not only have businesses put measures in place in full compliance with the government guidance they have done so to make your shopping experience much safer and more comfortable. With a spacious High Street, nearby business park, and free parking, it’s a great place to get just what you need!

So let’s get Uckfield going again:

Shop Safely, Shop Local, Shop Uckfield…

And our thanks to the following Uckfield businesses who have helped us with this campaign; Lazy Daisy for their graphic design; Print Matters for printing our banners & stickers etc. and Peter Oliver Homes for kindly sponsoring the estate agent boards.
